The Curse of the Vagabond

Kelly P. Gallagher

The Book of Psalms, Chapter 109

1 Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;

2 For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

3 They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

4 For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

5 And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

6 Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.

7 When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

8 Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

9 Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

10 Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

11 Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.

12 Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.

13 Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

15 Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

16 Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.

17 As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

18 As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

19 Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.

20 Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.

21 But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.

22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

23 I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.

24 My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.

25 I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.

26 Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy:

27 That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.

28 Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.

29 Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

30 I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

31 For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.

We can see from the above verses that there is a curse put upon those who render evil for good, or persecute the poor and needy.  What rich man hasn’t defrauded the poor and shared all that he should with the poor, then he probably wouldn’t be a rich man.  Did the Lord require the rich man to forsake all and does he not require the same today? The answer would depend upon if a rich man’s money possessed him and if he was generous to the poor and to support the work of God.  There are examples of rich men in the Bible who gave to the poor and supported good works such as Job, David, Abraham.  It is not money, but the love of money that is the root of all evil.

The curse of the vagabond is given to every person who persecutes the needy and is cruel to the innocent.  Every Catholic has this curse upon him.  This curse is similar to the curse of the bastard, or illegitimacy in that it causes a person to be an outcast even after salvation.  He can’t seem to fit in to any church, but is a lone wolf.  This is the wandering associated with this curse.  Also, a curse of poverty and lack accompanies this curse.  You may always fail at business, you can’t get ahead, etc.

Many times a rich man’s family will suffer drug addiction, poverty, disgrace as a result of the way the man made his money through ruthless means and destroying others to get ahead.

A good example is the offspring of Cornelius Vanderbilt.  The ruthless man who built an empire in Railroads by destroying others had this curse put on several generations of offspring who lived lives of destruction.

Gen 21:14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.

Josh 14:10 And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.

Psalm 107:4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.

Isaiah 16:8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.

Lam 4:14 They have wandered as blind men in the streets, they have polluted themselves with blood, so that men could not touch their garments.

Lam 4:15 They cried unto them, Depart ye; it is unclean; depart, depart, touch not: when they fled away and wandered, they said among the heathen, They shall no more sojourn there.

Ezek 34:6 My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them.

Amos 4:8 So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

We see from the above verses that to WANDER is a manifestation of the curse of the bastard.  A person who is under this curse is restless, unsatisfied, often bitter, resentful.  Sometimes a person will commit murder or theft to gain the financial things he craves but cannot seem to get.

Cain was the first person to get this curse. Genesis, Chapter 4

9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?

10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;

12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

13 And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

15 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

The curse of vagabond is a severe curse usually  due to murder or rendering evil for good in a cruel way, destroying others.  It involves many other spirits of poverty, shame, paranoia, fear, metal illness, financial bondage and lack, suicide, escape, rebellion and many others.

Sorrow of heart is a manifestation of the curse of the Lord.  Lamentations 3:64-66

A feeling of persecution is involved.  Lam 4:18.19

Proverbs 17:13  “Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.”

Finances are subject to the extortioner.  They are often open to burglaries, and swindles, etc.

His labor is spoiled.  Relationships end (goes with curse of rejection).  Notice Cain’s fear of people turning on him.

Jer 8:3 And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts.

Jer 9:21 For death is come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets.

Jer 13:16 Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.

The curse of death is associated with the curse of the vagabond, usually because of murder in the past.  A living death is the curses manifestation.  Nothing but destruction as the person is susceptible to wander into many lifestyles, doctrines of demons, lovers, etc.

Galatians 3:13 the curse is removed by the death and Jesus, but is not automatic, even after salvation.  The blessing of Abraham is the opposite of the curse of the vagabond.  Abraham had an inheritance and prosperity.

Curse of vagabond leads to false friendships and soul-ties.  There are Indian vagabond spirits and gypsy vagabond spirits.

Psalm 109:8  “let his days be few and let another take his office”  talks about Judas.  He committed suicide because of rendering evil to Jesus for the good Jesus showed him.

Psalm 109:16 - Persecuted the poor & needy, murdered the broken in heart.  Curse is on those who ruin others to get ahead, also usurious bankers, etc.

Verse 17 “as he loved cursing, so let it come upon him”  If we love the degradation of this curse, we cannot be free.  We must fight to be free.

Col 1:21 “and you that were sometime alienated and enemies (of God) in you mind by wicked works yet now hat he reconciled”

All partake of this curse because of sin in general, we are alienated from God and the people of God who enjoy his blessing.  The curse of the vagabond will increase greatly as the last days approach.  I Tim 4:1  - many shall fall away from the faith and take heed to seducing spirits.

Word/Faith heresy appeals to those under this curse because of greed, etc.
